Nokia E73 review: E73 Vs. E72 – Design, Specs, Features

I bet you guys were thinking what are the major differences between the Nokia E72 and the E73, Well here’s a short comparison between these two wonderful phones to give you all a basic understanding what what exactly Nokia has changed on the new E73.

Okay so lets get down to busniess;

  • E72 vs E73 Design Comparison

Overall, Nokia E73 Mode still have the same design, look and feel with its popular predecessor; the Nokia E71 and Nokia E72. There’s only little changes on the design, such as the shortcuts placement. Other difference in the design is the dimension of Nokia E73 Mode compared to Nokia E72.The E73 Mode (113.8 x 58.4 x 10.2 mm, 127.6g) is slightly wider and shorter compared to the E72 (114 x 58 x 10 mm, 65 cc, 128g), but it is thinner. It is also slightly lighter.

All in all, there’s no substantial changes in the design of Nokia E73 Mode, compared to the previous Nokia E72. But for me, I prefer the previous design found in E72.

  • E72 vs E73 Display Comparison

Both phones has a TFT 16million colors, they also share the same resolution of 320×240 pixels. However, the screen size is different. Nokia E73 screen is a bit bigger than E72 (2.4 inch vs 2.36 inch).

  • E73 vs E72 Features that are the same

In the Nokia E73 vs E72 comparison; I think it is wise to see in what E73 Mode and E72 share the same specs and features, and here they are:

  • Same camera with 5 Megapixel, 2592 x 1944 pixels, autofocus, LED flash
  • Both have the same internal memory of 250MB
  • Same QWERTY keyboard and optical trackpad
  • Same 3.5G speed: HSDPA 10.2 Mbps and HSUPA 2 Mbps
  • Same MicroSD card slot, with max 16GB and hotswap
  • Same 3.5mm audio jack
  • Same OS (S60v3.2)
  • Same battery type: Standard battery, Li-Po 1500 mAh (BP-4L)

So here’s my conclusion, By comparing this information we can clearly say that the E73 is nothing but a upgraded and re-branded version of the E72. If you guys want to get a better idea of the Nokia E73 then check out the full phone specifications here.
