5230 lacks Secondary Camera, whereas, Mode has got these features. The second camera helps one to click self portrait and also make video calls. The Mode has VGA videocall camera Secondary Camera. The Mode possesses 5 MP, 2592 x 1944 pixels, autofocus, LED flash Camera and the 5230 has 2 MP, 1600×1200 pixels Camera. Autofocus allows a camera control that focuses the lens on the subject. Autofocus is useful for tracking moving subjects and for pulling-the-camera-out-of-the-bag speed. For the rest, it’s completely useless.

The Mode provides TFT, 16M colors Display Type while the 5230 offers TFT resistive touchscreen, 16M colors Display Type. TFT is also known as Active matrix display.
